Very serene.I stayed for a night and here you can forget about your big city troubles and connect with your human/spiritual self.They have a gym, restaurant and right on the river. They also have a shuttle ferry from Livingston so you don't have to solely depend on the "public" shuttle.

It's a beautiful place in the jungle right on the river. The price is cheap for the dorm and rooms. The place is clean for being in the jungle. There is a man named Chris that works or volunteers there who is very helpful.we Rented the kayaks and went down rio dulce about 2 hours to Livingston. Kayaking was amazing. I would give them 5 five stars if it wasn't for the dinner. They make shared dinner for everyone. The first night I was there it was falafel. The falafel was so dry and flavorless. I had to push my self to finish one. They charged me 60 Q. I would go again but no dinner for me.

100% recommended place to stay in Rio Dulce. We spent 2 nights there and would have stayed more (we couldn't as we had other travel arrangements). Located in the middle of the rainforest, beautiful place and family managed. Chris and Carlos will help you with all the arrangements you need and also explain everything upon check in. They offer trips to the beach, Livingston, kayak and more. The best is the atmosphere they have created. We came here for the excellent reviews and we could prove it's all good as everyone says.

This is a family ran business and it's just an amazing hotel to stay at! They offer some amazing trekking in the jungle being very careful as not to get lost, their is also one track that takes you all the way to Livingston a four hour track I hear. Their kayaking is also a must do in the area. The owner and staff are very accommodating and professional. It's like staying in the jungle. There food is great and they offer vegan food also. At night at least when I stayed in October AC is not needed to the point that you have to turn off your fan during the night.

Perfect place to stay on the Rio Dulce, we ended up staying longer than planned and didn't want to leave! The place is in a great location, you can do hikes to the nearby school and cave which we loved, lots of places on the lake to explore by kayak, there is a little sauna right by the river. Prices are very reasonable for the area, staff all very friendly and helpful, lots of vegan options in the restaurant and food was all delicious. Big thanks to Chris for being patient in helping me practice my Spanish! Can't recommend this place enough!
